Lara Spencer took a moment to celebrate her son, Duff, turning 24. She shared a heartfelt post on Instagram on January 22, with a recent photo of the two of them and a throwback from Duff’s childhood. She wrote how proud she is and wished him a wonderful year ahead.
Spencer has two children with her ex-husband David Haffenreffer, Duff and her 22-year-old daughter, Katharine. She later married Richard McVey in 2018, after they began dating in 2016.
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments with birthday wishes. Cameron Mathison left hearts, and Deborah Roberts posted a champagne glass emoji. Many fans commented on how much Duff looks like his mom, and some joked that they thought the throwback photo was of Katharine.
Duff doesn’t often appear on Spencer’s Instagram, so this post was a special treat. Back in May 2025, she had shared pictures from his college graduation at Southern Methodist University’s School of Business, thanking the school and sharing family photos.
This week, Spencer also celebrated another happy event, attending Will Reeve’s wedding in Miami with her husband and friends. She shared several photos from the weekend, calling it a perfect and joyous celebration.
