Ryan Seacrest showed off a new goatee to his radio cohosts, sparking reactions online. On January 23, he posted a video on Instagram explaining how it came about.
Seacrest said he had intended to shave his 5 o’clock shadow but accidentally shaved his whole cheek. He corrected it, which resulted in the goatee. “That’s why I have a goatee,” he said, joking about the mishap.
His cohosts loved the new look. Sisanie asked if this was the “new Ryan,” while Tanya Rad said she loved it. Sisanie also joked about him running out of time that morning.
Fans were mostly positive. Many praised Seacrest, saying he looked handsome and encouraging him to keep it. Some, however, were less enthusiastic but wished him well.
Seacrest doesn’t usually wear facial hair, though he has sported stubble and longer beards in the past. This goatee marks a fresh look for the TV and radio host.
