2NE1’s Storied Legacy
2NE1’s upcoming tour is more than just a comeback, it’s a celebration of a decade-long journey that transformed them into one of the most iconic and influential K-pop acts. The group, which debuted under YG Entertainment in 2009, made history with hits like Fire, I Am The Best, and Come Back Home, and became a defining act of K-pop’s second generation. Their bold, edgy style and fierce stage presence set them apart, helping them rack up major accolades including awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and Melon Music Awards.
Despite their disbandment in 2016, 2NE1’s legacy only grew, cementing their place in K-pop history. Fans were overjoyed by their surprise reunion at Coachella 2022, where they delivered their first live performance in years, reigniting hopes of a full-fledged comeback.
2NE1’s Road to ‘Welcome Back’
The seeds for the Welcome Back tour were planted just a month ago when the members of 2NE1 met with YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk for what was described as an “extremely meaningful” two-hour discussion. This meeting, combined with their undeniable chemistry during the Coachella reunion, led to what fans had long been hoping for a full tour.
As of now, the tour is set to run through February 2025, culminating in a final performance in Taipei, Taiwan. While additional dates outside Asia are expected to be announced, anticipation is already building for what promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans.
For those lucky enough to snag tickets for the Seoul dates, purchasing is available through Interpark Ticket, while further details for other Asian cities will be released soon.
