Fans were expecting some goal showers but only a single goal was scored in the end that was an own goal from Girona that gave three points to PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their 2024/25 Champions League campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Girona, but the result left many fans underwhelmed. Despite high expectations for a dominant performance and plenty of goals, the match turned out to be a lackluster affair.
The only goal came in the form of an own goal from Girona, handing PSG three points but failing to spark much excitement. Throughout the game, PSG struggled to break down Girona’s defense and create clear chances, leading to disappointment among supporters who had anticipated a more convincing display.
While the win gets PSG off to a positive start in the group stage, the performance has raised concerns about the team’s ability to live up to the high standards despite this win.
