TikToK Banned! Shilpa Shetty, Neha Kakkar, Nora Fatehi maybe in trouble

Government of India has put an end to TIK TOK and not just that, 59 Chinese apps banned in the country.
However, Bollywood’s most favourite is TIK TOK. Today for promotion of every show, product or movie, TIK TOK videos are an integral part to reach the fans. Some people have taken it as a career!
Having said that, do you think the ban will affect the film industry?

Right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no paparazzi are following celebrities outside their gyms or favourite restaurants hence actors come out with different ways to interact with them using their social medias and this is how TIK TOK videos have gained prominence.

Celebrities of the 90s like Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon have millions of fans on TIK TOK even though they haven’t been on the silver screen for years. Their accounts help them to stay in the limelight and by using trending music and steps. They endorse several brands with paid partnership which help them get hefty amounts with just a single video.

Even mainstream active actors such as Nora Fatehi , Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez and singer Neha Kakkar all have a huge presence on the platform with new videos uploaded by them every now and then.

Now that TIK TOK has been banned in India, all these are going to lose their fan connection and ultimately, paid partnerships are out of the picture. Perhaps, they’ll have to find newer ways to entertain and engage to keep their fan base alive and kicking.
