  • Raina was bagged by Chennai Super Kings for 2.6 crores in the first IPL season. He played important knock and was a noticeable cricketer of CSK, in the absence of big players like Mathew Hayden, Michael Hussey, and Jacob Oram.

  • He recorded his highest score in IPL in a match against Kings XI Punjab in 2013, where he hit a century and was not out.

  • Raina is a top-order batsman and the second-highest run-scorer with 5368 runs in 189 IPL innings. He is just 44 runs behind Virat Kohli, who has scored 5412 runs in 169 innings.
