
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, most celebrated Indian cricketer, who served as captain for the Indian national team for limited overs format from 2007 to 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. He is a renowned cricketer as a great game finisher, helicopter shot, and wicketkeeper. He is the only Indian captain to bring all ICC trophies home. Lieutenant colonel
In 2011, MS Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of a lieutenant colonel. He was piped-in by Gen. Singh at South Block. The honor was received by him along with Abhinav Bindra and Deepak Rao.
Paratrooper
In 2015, MSD became a qualified paratrooper after having completed five parachute training jumps from Indian Army aircraft in the Agra training camp.
Parachute regiment training
Dhoni requested to train with a territory army battalion of the parachute regiment for two months. He joined his duty on July 31st and stayed till August 15th.
Jammu and Kashmir
Dhoni served in the Indian army as part of Victor Force, in Kashmir. He undertook the duties of patrolling, guard, and post duty for 15 days. He stayed with troops after duty.

The achiever
