“It’ll be tough for Rohit Sharma to play the Border Gavaskar trophy if he doesn’t take the flight in the next 3-4 days”, Ravi Shatri

After Rohit Sharma suffered an injury during the IPL 2020, his selection in the Indian squad for the Australian tour was on the line. He was benched for a few games for MI but later made a comeback stating that his injury was better. After his selection was questioned, BCCI made clear that he will join the squad in Australia.

With the limited over series al set to start the week, Ravi Shastri, the head coach of the side spoke about his presence in the limited over the team. Along with Rohit, Ishant Sharma is also expected to join the squad.

“It’ll be tough for Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma to play Border Gavaskar trophy if they fail to take the flight in the coming 4-5 days, maximum 26-27 November,” Shastri said.

“If you need to play in the Test series or any red-ball cricket, you’ve got to be on the fight in the next three or four days. If you aren’t then it is going to be tough” he added.
