IPL Auction 2021: Here’s the list of players bought by Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals, the winners of IPL 2008 had a disastrous season in UAE last year. They finished last among the eight teams, due to which some major decisions were taken by the team management.

In January, they let go of captain Steve Smith along with Akash Singh, Anirudha Joshi, Ankit Rajpoot, Oshane Thomas, Shashank Singh, Tom Curran and Varun Aaron. They also appointed a new captain in Sanju Samson.

The Rajasthan Royals had eight available slots with three of them to be filled by overseas cricketers with Rs 34.85 Crore in hand. Here are the the players they bought in the 2021 IPL Auctions

Shivam Dube (Rs 4.4 crore), Chris Morris (Rs 16.25 crore), Mustafizur Rahman (Rs 1 crore), Chetan Sakariya (Rs 1.2 crore), KC Cariappa (Rs 20 lakh), Akash Singh (Rs 20 lakh), Kuldip Yadav (Rs 20 lakh), Liam Livingstone (Rs 75 lakh).

RR bought Chris Morris for Rs 16.25 Crore making him the most expensive buy in the history of IPL. The total money spend on all these players amounted up to Rs 21.2 Crore.
