The cricket fans are enthusiastically anticipating watching the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2022. The knockout rounds will be held in Kolkata and  Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 and Eliminators will be held at Eden Gardens Kolkata. Qualifier 2 and the finals will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The league stage was concluded recently. The top four teams in the points table which have reached the playoffs are Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Today the first qualifier will occur between the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. The winner of this match will straight away walk into the finals of the IPL.

The reports suggest that the most expensive ticket for the IPL final is 65,000 while the cheapest ticket is Rs 800. A large number of fans will gather in the final as the imposed restrictions are lifted and the ban regarding spectator capacity is hauled. The first 25 percent of the fans were given a chance in the league round. Later it was increased to 50 percent.

In the last two seasons, the matches were either without fans or only with a few percent of spectators. It will be an interesting event with fans roaring from the stands.
