IND vs AUS DAY 1 –

With six wickets, Matthew Paul Kuhnemann continued dismantling India’s batting lineup. Immediately after post-lunch, Kuhnemann dismissed R Ashwin for just three runs and Umesh Yadav for just 17 runs.

At Delhi in the 2nd test game, a vital partnership between Axar Patel and R Ashwin helped India win the 2nd test game of the Border-Gavaskar. However, the Aussies did not make the same mistake this time and were quick enough to dismiss R Ashwin.

Alongside Matthew Kuhnemann’s brilliant performance with the ball, Nathan Lyon also turned up for the Aussies by taking three.

In the first Innings, India was all out for just 109 runs.

It was a comfortable start for the Aussies in the 2nd session of day 1 of the third test game. They lost only one wicket and were trailing by just 71 runs until the tenth over.

At Tea, a partnership of 49 runs between Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne helped the Aussie trail by just 39 runs for just one wicket.

A partnership of 91 runs helped the Aussies lead by 17 runs in the 44th over

For the Indian side, Jadeja took four crucial wickets.  Initially, Jadeja took out Travis Head for just nine runs. And then, Jadeja also broke the partnership between  Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne. Further, in the  48th over, Jadeja also took out Australian captain Steve Smith for just 26 runs.

At the 49th over, 150 runs come up for the Aussies. R Ashwin bowled the last over for the day. The end of the first day 3rd test came as the Aussie’s tally stood at 156 for four wickets.

Peter Handscomb and Cameron Donald Green stand not out for seven and six runs, respectively.
