“I thought that my time at PSG was over,” said Mbappe to L’Equipe

Mbappe in his recent interview on L’Equipe says that Real Madrid made a real offer and he thought it was his time to move away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid was prepared to offer PSG forward Kylian Mbappe a whopping €197 million to sign him for the summer which was later refused by PSG even though Mbappe’s contract is running out of time. Mbappe within his rights can sign a pre-contract deal with any team but has his eyes on a contending team like Real Madrid as he has already declined so many extension contract proposals from PSG already. Mbappe was 18 when signed with PSG back in 2017 and has been with them since, though now he believes it’s time for him and his career to move on to another place as he speaks to French radio station RMC sports, “I asked to leave because at the moment I did not want to extend my contract I want the club to have a transfer fee to get a replacement of quality.”

On Tuesday morning, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted about what the French international has said to L’Equipe. Mbappe said to L’Equipe according to Fabrizio’s Tweet,” I thought my time at PSG was over. Leaving was the logical next step.”

PSG and their staff are confident Mbappe will sign an extension contract with them and  Mbappe is happy to play with his new teammate Messi and his friend Neymar but the tension between him and the PSG staff is rising with little time left. However, as per Fabrizio Romano’s latest tweet, Mbappe is not looking forward to signing the new deal with the French giants.
