Actor Rahul Roy celebrates his 54th birthday today. He was born on 9th February 1968 to Deepak Roy and Indira Roy’s family. He has done his schooling at Lawrence School, Sanawar.
However, Mr. Roy made his acting debut in Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 movie Aashiqui, in which he co-starred alongside newcomer Anu Agarwal. He also won the first season of Bigg Boss. He has been given life membership in the Asian Academy of Film and Television’s International Film and Television Club.
Later on, in 2011, Roy started his own venture in movie production. This was started in Bihar. The name given to the venture was Rahul Roy productions. The first movie which he entitled was Elaan. He himself was the star taking Rituparna Sen with him in the main lead.
In 2000, Rahul married Rajlaxmi after dating her for two years. After 14 years of marriage, they both decided to separate in 2014 with mutual consent. But today also Rahul believes, Rajlaxmi was an integral part of his life.
In 2020, Rahul had a stroke while filming in Kargil in harsh conditions. During this situation, he praised his sister Priyanka for helping him and making him confident. This brain stroke changed his life further.
Rahul Roy is a hardworking person. He never stopped even after failing several times. Rahul always kept himself ready for the ups and downs which comes his way.
