Stars this year are all glammed up on social media as to celebrate an auspicious Hindu festival Janmashtami which marks the birth of Lord Krishna in the Hindu month of Shraavana. With a hashtag #HappyJanmashtami trending all over Twitter and Instagram, celebs have put in their feelings for the deity. In the global Covid-19 condition, course of festivals has definitely evolved including the Gokulashtami which traditionally is celebrated with people forming pyramids to break ‘Dahi-Handi’.
Keeping in mind about social distancing and safety, celebs have urged their fans to keep it low, including stars Hema Malini, Kajol, Mukesh Chhabra, Sushimita Sen, Preity G Zinta. A few actors got all nostalgic and also shared their childhood story related to Janmashtami – Sidharth Malhotra posted a picture where he is draped in Krishna’s pose with a flute. Whereas Huma Qureshi and Sidharth Shukla tweeted about how they enjoyed the festival of ‘Matkis and Makkhan.’
