
Dinesh Karthik on Friday handed over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team captaincy to England’s white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan, ahead of their IPL 2020 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Abu Dhabi.

Dinesh Karthik has decided to move away from captaincy with a view to focus on his batting. Karthik, has faced several criticism for his batting performances in the on going season of the IPL 2020.
The Kolkata based franchise, under Dinesh Karthik’s captaincy has so far won four out of their seven matches this season and are sitting fourth on the points table.
Dinesh Karthik was appointed as the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the legendary Gautam Gambhir left the franchise and joined the Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils).
