
After the success of Coke Studio globally, Coca-Cola launched ‘Coke Studio Bharat’ in Mumbai. The first season of the show featured over 50 artists and created over 10 memorable tracks celebrating the roots of Bharat. The first song that was released on Coke Studio Bharat was ‘Udja’ on 7th February and gained 30 million views on YouTube.
Coke Studio Bharat has released its second celebratory track ‘Holi Re Rasiya’ to mark the celebration of the Indian Festival Holi. The song was released on YouTube with the caption, “A modern take on an ever-loved brajbhashi delight, ‘Holi Re Rasiya’ is an ode to colour and joy. An eclectic mix of a classic interspersed with the fresh rap style from the lanes of the home land of Delhi – join us as we ring in and celebrate the festival of colours.”
The song features Maithili Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Seedhe Maut, the song has a blend of different styles like Maithili’s soulful voice, Ravi Kishan’s playfulness and Seedhe Maut’s powerful rap. Maithili Thakur stays connected to her roots and brinngs joy with her beautiful voice, Ravi Kishan adds light to Holi mischief and Seedhe Maut with his spoken words vibes with the Gen Z.
‘Holi Re Rasiya’ expressed the feeling of Holi in India which celebrates the victory of good over evil and the festival also brings the warmth of togetherness. The song ‘Holi Re Rasiya’ also lends itself to lighten up the dance floors on every Holi celebrations by adding colours, vibes and excitement to the celebration.
The song is written by Ankur Tewari, who is an award winning musician and acclaimed songwriter. Ankut Tewari has collaborated with a acclaimed poet, lyricist and scriptwriter Kausar Munir along with award winning musician KJ Singh. Producer and Composer of the song is Mahan Sehgal.
