Real Madrid’s first game of the La Liga season 2021/22 begin with a win. They were playing against Alaves in Mendizorroza stadium (Alaves home stadium). Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, had a great night. It was his first game in charge in the new season of La Liga after he joined Madrid from Premier League club, Everton, this summer. Real Madrid scored four goals and conceded just one.

The game was all square in the first half. Neither side was able to create too many chances which could give them the lead. However, it was raining goals in the next 45 minutes of the game. Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who was their top scorer last season, broke the ice in the 48th minute and gave the lead to the Visitors. Just after 8 minutes, the Real Madrid defender, Nacho doubled the lead for Madrid. Karim Benzema didn’t take so much time to make it 3-0 in the 62nd minute.

Alaves scored their first goal from the penalty spot after being awarded the penalty in the 64th minute by Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois. However, the hosts were behind in the game in every aspect. They had fewer shots on target than Real Madrid. In the 66th minute, Vini Jr. was out on the pitch replacing Eden Hazard who gave the assists to Benzema which led to their first goal. Vini Jr. did make an impact after coming from the bench as he scored the 4th goal for Madrid in the additional minute. Real Madrid’s new signing David Alaba gave the assist to Vini jr. Which made the scoreline 1-4.
