BCB CEO in his official statement said that the West Indies do want to play but they want a short tour. The main reason being the time period they will be spending outside their home. He gave example of the recently cancelled tour of South Africa and England. He also added that they are ready to cut short the tour and talk  with the CWI.

Bangladesh had to cancel a lot of their tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic as they had miss matches against Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
