AUS vs IND: Siraj seen in tears during national anthem

The newest addition to the Indian pace attack, Mohammad Siraj has been impressive as he has been taking wickets at crucial stages for the team. Earlier today, he got the important wicket of Warner which was desperately needed for the team.

But the fans got to see another side of him as he was seen in tears during the national anthem.

Before the match began, both the teams came out in the field for the national anthems of both sides. First the Indian National anthem was played followed by the Australian National anthem.

As the Indian National anthem finished, a camera caught Siraj in tears as he wiped his tears off as soon as the National anthem finished. Bumrah was seen having a laugh with him after that.

Siraj always wanted to represent the Indian team and more specifically in the longest format. This was a dream him and his father saw together. Unfortunately, Siraj lost his father while he was in Australia. Due to the strict quarantine rules, he couldn’t visit his family as that would have cost him his test spot. He decided to stay back and represent his country as that would have been his father’s wish. It was an extremely emotional moment for him. Various social media handles posted about this and were proud about having a player like him in the side.
