Arsenal are closing in on Mikel Merino deal from Real Sociedad in this current summer transfer window which is about to end in one week now. Arsenal strong wants the services of the Spanish midfielder who played massively last season and helped Spain in their Euro 2024 triumph. Merino is also interested in signing for the Arteta’s side. The deal looks very close and somewhat imminent as per transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.
The PL side is reportedly on the verge to sign Spanish midfielder Merino with just a week remaining in the summer transfer window. The Gunners have shown strong interest in the 27-year-old, who had a stellar season with Real Sociedad and played a major role in Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 trophy victory.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, is keen to bolster his midfield options ahead of the new season, and Merino’s versatility and experience make him a prime target. The player himself is said to be interested in the move to North London, viewing it as a step up in his career and an opportunity to compete in the Premier League.
According to renowned transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal is very close and Arsenal fans are eagerly anticipating the official confirmation, hoping that Merino’s arrival will add much-needed depth.
