Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom release date reavealed

Akshay will play the character of a RAW agent in Bell Bottom. It is based on the airplane hijackings that spread through India in the early 1980s.

After great anticipation, Akshay Kumar revealed on Tuesday (June 15) that his film ‘Bell Bottom’ will have a grand theatrical release on July 27. He also revealed an amazing trailer for the mega-budget movie, which will be released globally.

In the teaser, Akshay Kumar is shown going by dates while wearing a bell bottom pant suit and carrying a briefcase, while the title tune from the film, ‘Bell Bottom,’ plays in the background. On July 27, the camera pauses and zooms in, revealing the release date.

While sharing the teaser, he wrote, “I know you have patiently waited for #Bellbottom! Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving across big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July @vashubhagnani @vaaniofficial @humasqureshi @LaraDutta @ranjit_tiwari @jackkybhagnani @honeybhagnani.”

‘Bell Bottom,’ set in the 1980s, caused quite a sensation last year when it became the first Bollywood film to begin and finish filming in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, with the whole cast and staff flying to Scotland to shoot the picture in a bio-bubble.

The film, directed by Ranjit M Tewari and written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Sheikh, stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. Due to the second wave of COVID-19, the release date for ‘Bell Bottom’ was delayed twice.

‘Bell Bottom,’ a spy thriller, would cast Akshay in the character of a RAW agent. It is based on the airline hijackings that spread through India in the early 1980s. Lara will play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in office at the time. In the film, Vaani will play Akshay’s wife.

Aside from Bell Bottom, Akshay is working on a number of projects, including Atrangi Re, Raksha Bandhan, Bachchan Pandey, Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, and Mission Lion.
