Vodafone India discontinues double data plans

Vodafone India recently updated its website to reveal that the double data offer on prepaid plans will be discontinued. The Rs 399 and Rs 599 data plans will offer 1.5GB per day and there will be no additional data benefits. The Rs 299, Rs 499 and Rs 699 prepaid plans will get an additional 2GB data per day along with its regular 2GB daily data plans, taking the data to 4GB per day.

To reflect the discontinuation of these plans, the prepaid plans section on the website of Vodafone India was changed. The Rs 399 and Rs 599 plans offer 1.5GB data per day, 100 SMS per day, unlimited local and STD calls, Zee5 subscription and Vodafone Play subscription. The validity of these two plans is 56 days and 84 days, respectively.

The other prepaid plans like Rs 299, Rs 499 and Rs 699 offer the same benefits apart from the 2GB data per day. The subscribers to these plans will get 4GB data per day, instead of just 2GB. The validity of these plans is 28 days, 56 days and 84 days, respectively. The double data prepaid plan offers have been launched in certain states only, like Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Kolkata, Mumbai, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP East, and West Bengal.

However, it was recently noticed that the double data prepaid plans have been removed from these cities as well.
