YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia appeared before the Assam Police in Guwahati on Friday in connection with his remarks on the now-deleted YouTube show India’s Got Latent. Authorities, including the Maharashtra Cyber Police, Mumbai Police, and Guwahati Police, are investigating the matter following multiple complaints.

Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, has faced backlash over his comments about parents and sex, leading to several FIRs against him. During his statement to the Maharashtra Cyber Police, he reportedly admitted to making a mistake.

Meanwhile, Allahbadia and content creator Apoorva Mukhija submitted written apologies to the National Commission for Women (NCW). NCW chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar stated that four individuals—Tushar Poojari, Saurabh Bothra, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ranveer Allahbadia—had appeared before the commission. She emphasized that inappropriate language would not be tolerated and described the remarks as unacceptable. She added that those involved had acknowledged their mistake and formally expressed their regret.

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia interim protection from arrest and permitted him to resume his podcast, The Ranveer Show, under the condition that it adheres to standards of decency and morality. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh noted that the livelihoods of around 280 employees depended on the show. The court stated that while Allahbadia had been previously restrained from airing his content, he would now be allowed to continue, provided he maintained appropriate standards.
