Cyberattacks have been launched against the popular YouTubers Tanmay Bhat, Aishwarya Mohanraj, and former “Bigg Boss” competitor Abdu Rozik. Tanmay, whose Gmail account was also compromised, has a picture of Tesla, a US automaker, on his YouTube website. The channel even live broadcast a Tesla event. He still had 473 videos on his channel. There is now no content on the channel’s page despite having more than 4 million followers.
According to Tanmay, his case involved a two-factor authentication compromise.
Similarly, two live feeds of a Tesla event are included on Aishwarya Mohanraj’s channel, which has more than 70,000 members.
Due to Elon Musk’s widespread internet presence, hackers have previously used his likeness to carry out a variety of scams. Even impersonating a Tesla business account owned by Musk isn’t altogether new. These hackers are running live feeds with messages superimposed on top that push people to scan a QR code on the screen.
Hackers also targeted Abdu, who has over 1 million YouTube subscribers. His channel has also been overrun with videos of crack software tutorials.
