”Yeh koi tareeka hai bheek mangne ka,” PIB India mocks Pakistan over loan plea amid war losses

As India’s Operation Sindoor continues to dismantle key terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a post on X from the official handle of Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Division triggered a diplomatic stir.

The post appealed to international partners for urgent financial assistance, citing “heavy losses inflicted by the enemy” and crashing markets amid the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict. It read:

“Govt of Pakistan appeals to International Partners for more loans after heavy losses inflicted by enemy. Amid escalating war and stocks crash, we urge international partners to help de-escalate…”

In response, India’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) posted a viral meme mocking the statement, captioning it with a famous Bollywood line: “Ye koi tareeka hai bheek maangne ka?”

However, soon after the post gained widespread attention — amassing millions of views — Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clarification, calling the post “fake” and claiming the Economic Affairs Division’s X account was hacked. The official fact-checking handle of Pakistan’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting also released an alert, stating:

“🚨 FAKE TWEET ALERT: The account was hacked ‼️”

As tensions remain high and international scrutiny deepens, this incident has added a new layer of information warfare to the already volatile cross-border crisis.
