Reddit has unveiled Reddit Pro, a suite of tools designed to assist businesses in building a strong organic presence on the platform. The announcement comes as Reddit prepares for its upcoming initial public offering (IPO), signaling the platform’s strategic move to attract more brands and potentially convert them into paying advertisers. This marks the first time Reddit has offered free tools to support businesses in their social media strategies.
Currently in beta testing, Reddit Pro provides businesses with an interface featuring several tools. These include AI-powered insights that highlight trending topics and relevant conversations related to specific brands, enabling businesses to engage with new and existing audiences by joining conversations. The insights also help brands tailor their presence on Reddit based on real-time data.
The suite also offers publishing tools that allow businesses to draft and schedule public posts, making it easier for them to contribute to Reddit communities. Additionally, performance analytics are provided to help businesses analyze the impact of their organic posts and make informed decisions about their strategy. Businesses can track overall engagement and monitor monthly progress through their Pro dashboard.
Reddit Pro allows businesses to extend the reach of their posts by easily converting them into paid advertisements directly on the platform. This streamlined process aims to enhance the visibility of brand content without requiring businesses to navigate external advertising platforms.
More than 200 businesses, including Taco Bell, Wendy’s, the NFL, The Wall Street Journal, Kate Somerville, and Atlas Headrest, have already started using Reddit Pro. Early testing revealed that brands using Reddit Pro generated an average of 11 more posts and comments per month and saw a significant increase of 35% in monthly upvotes for their organic content.
Reddit’s introduction of Reddit Pro reflects its commitment to providing businesses with the tools they need to succeed on the platform, further positioning itself as a valuable platform for brands looking to engage with Reddit’s diverse and active community.
