Xiaomi, on Friday, announced the launch date of the Mi Pad 5 series on the microblogging website Weibo. Mi Pad 5 series is scheduled to launch on August 10 in China.
The launch poster uploaded on Weibo suggests that the tablet will have a sleek metal body with rounded edges. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing of the stylus of the tablet, also known as ‘Xiaomi Smart Pen’ suggests that this tablet series will have Bluetooth connectivity. The listing also shows a button on the stylus.
According to Hindustan Times Tech, an image shared by tipster Mukul Sharma shows a dual rear camera setup and flash module which has the text “AI Camera” written on it. The tablet sported a silver-bluish hue.

Xiaomi is expected to launch three models of the Mi Pad 5 – the Mi Pad 5, the Mi Pad 5 Pro, and the Mi Pad 5 Lite. The Mi Pad 5 Lite is expected to come with a Snapdragon 860 SoC, a 10.95-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 12 MP main camera. The other two models might come with Snapdragon 870 SoCs and all three models are expected to come with 2K high refresh rate displays. The top-end Mi Pad 5 Pro will likely come with 5G support as well, Hindustan Times Tech reported.
