Lost your Aadhaar card? Here’s how to download Aadhaar card online

Aadhar card can be downloaded online using your Aadhaar number, enrolment ID, virtual ID,  etc. An Indian resident needs an Aadhaar card to get certain government welfare services given by the Government of India. The certificate also serves as proof of address and identification for the individual. Aadhaar is a 12-digit identifying number provided by the  Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

Here’s how to download an Aadhaar Card online

1. The user has to visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid and enter their registered email address, mobile number and security code along with their complete name.

2. After that, click ‘Send OTP’ and enter the one-time password you got on your registered cellphone number

3. Verify the enrollment ID or Aadhaar number that was sent to the registered mobile number.

4. Go to the official UIDAI website’s e-Aadhaar page and enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and 28-digit enrolment ID.

4. To get the one-time password, enter the security code and click “Send OTP.”

5. After entering the OTP, the user will be able to get the e-Aadhar card by clicking on  ‘Verify and Download’.
