Reliance JioTV consists of a bunch of live TV channels as well as an entire host of entertainment options. However, the app only works on smartphones, tablets and the Jio set-up box as the company has not yet launched a dedicated app for smart TVs, PCs and laptops. Here’s how you can download and install the app on these devices for free.
(i) Open Play Store on Android TV and search for the Kodi app
(ii) After installing the app, head over to the app and go to Settings. Click on File Manager and then open Add Source.
(iii) Type https://kodi.botallen.com as a name while naming it ‘BotAllen’
(iv) Visit Add-ons in Settings and click on Install from Zip File
(v) Select BotAllen and click on repository.botallen zip file
(vi) Open BotAllen Repository, click on Video Add-ons and then visit JioTV
(vii) The repository will install the application in Kodi
(viii) Once this is done, an option to Configure will appear when launching JioTV in Kodi
(ix) Next, visit Configure, click on PVR client and download the client from the list
(x) Go to the login option in Configure, select keyboard and then enter your Jio phone number to receive OTP
After this, you will be able to open the application.
