PUBG Mobile Lite releases the international 0.20.1 update

It has been nearly 8 months since the Government of India banned PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite apps in the country under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act because of the presence of Tencent (a Chinese Mobile Gaming App developer) in the game’s operations and India’s souring relationship with China.

The business for PUBG however is still booming all over the world in countries where it is still functional. PUBG’s lighter, compact version PUBG Mobile Lite recently released a major update called The PUBG Mobile Lite 0.20.1 update.

PUBG is calling this update of the game, “OFFICIAL, LIGHTER, SAME EXPERIENCE,” thereby staying true to its purpose which was to allow users/gamers with lower-end mobile phones that have lesser RAMs and Storage Space to have access to the game. Although the app remains banned in India, an APK file is available for download on the official PUBG Mobile Lite website, the size of which remains very low at 575 MBs.

Among the new features and locations which are part of the update, users are getting is the ‘Winter Castle’ feature which gives the users the option of a winter theme gameplay where the terrain is covered with snow.

Another feature called the Universal Mark feature now allows users to mark locations, supplies, and adds Winter Castle as a location.
