Xiaomi Mi 11X vs Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite: Which version is more suitable for your daily usage?

Xiaomi has become a household name in terms of smartphones. The company has been launching slew of new models each year with each one better than the previous one. With just a few weeks apart, Xiaomi launched two of its smartphones Xiaomi Mi 11X and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. While the latter supports 5G network, the former does not support 5G.

We have analyzed both the phones to learn about their differences.

Body

Mi 11X is 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8 mm in dimensions with weight of 196 grams. The phone is built with gorilla glass 5 in the front and back and supports dual Nano-SIM.

Mi 11 Lite has dimensions of 160.5 x 75.7 x 6.8 mm that weighs 157 grams. The phone supports hybrid dual Nano-SIM and is IP53 dust and splash resistant.

Display

Mi 11X has super AMOLED technology for display with 120 Hz of refreshing speed and brightness ranging from 900 nits and 1300 nits. The size of the display is 6.67 inches with 85.9% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and protection of corning gorilla glass 5.

Mi 11 Lite has AMOLED technology for display with refreshing speed of 90 Hz and brightness ranging between 500 nits to 800 nits. The display size is 6.55 inches with screen-to-body ratio of 85.3%. The resolution and protection is similar to Mi 11X at 1080 x 2400 pixels and corning gorilla glass 5, respectively.

Platform

Mi 11X has operating system Android 11 and chipset of Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G. The CPU is octa-core (1×2.84 GHz).

Mi 11 Lite also supports Android 11 operating system with chipset of Qualcomm SM7150 Snapdragon 732G. The CPU is octa-core (2×2.3 GHz).

Memory

Mi 11X has internal storage of 128 GB and 256 GB with RAM of 8 GB. It does not allow expanding the storage space.

Mi 11 Lite has internal storage of 64 GB and 128 GB with 4 GB and 6 GB RAM, and latter also available with 8 GB RAM. The phone allows expanding the storage with micro SDXC chip but do not provide dedicated slot for the same.

Camera

Mi 11X has three modules for main camera which includes 108 MP f/1.8 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 5 MP f/2.4 (telephoto macro). The features include LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The video quality is 8K @ 30 frames per second (fps), 4K @ 30/60 fps, 1080p @ 30/60/120/240/960 fps. The front camera is 20 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR feature and video quality of 1080p @ 30 fps, 720p @ 120 fps.

Mi 11 Lite has three main camera modules – 64 MP f/1.8 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 5 MP f/2.4 (macro) – with features such as dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama. The video quality is 4K @ 30 fps, 1080p @ 30/60/120 fps. The front camera is 16 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR and panorama feature and video quality of 1080p @ 30 fps, 720p @ 120 fps.

Battery

Both Mi 11X and Mi 11 Lite has similar lithium polymer battery of 4250 mAh. The non-removable battery can be charged with 33W wired charging. However, it is expected that Mi 11X can be fully charged with 52 minutes.
