Tecno Pova 5 Pro was unveiled in India on August 11. The company had successfully announced the price of the phones along with their availability in India. This model is the succession of the Tecno Pova 4 lineup, which was released in December last year with MediaTek Helio G99 SoCs and 6,000mAh batteries.
The vanilla version of Tecno Pova 5 comes fully powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, but the Tecno Pova 5 Pro carries an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC.Meanwhile, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 14,999. Compared to that, Infinix GT 10 Pro is to be priced below Rs. 20,000 in India. It is teased to run MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The Infinix GT 10 Pro will pack an AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It is confirmed to come with a triple rear camera unit, led by a 108-megapixel primary sensor. Tecno Pova 5 Pro will be available in the varied shades of Dark Illusions and Silver Fantasy colour options, while the base Tecno Pova 5 will be available in Amber Gold, Hurrican Blue, and Mecha Black colourways. The Pova 5 Pro 5G is available in two configurations, with 128GB or 256GB of storage, both having the same 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes equipped with a 50-megapixel main rear camera that seems to snap pretty good images in broad daylight, as well as in not-so-ideal lighting situations. It can record videos up to 2K 30fps and 1080p 60fps, which is not bad for a smartphone in this segment. There’s also the presence of a secondary AI camera here, but no ultra-wide. The main highlight of the Pova 5 Pro 5G is what Tecno calls the Arc Interface, which are the glowing LEDs located under the back panel. They light up in different colours when you charge the device, boot it up, receive notifications or even when you listen to music.
In the meanwhile, Infinix GT 10 Pro will have a triple rear camera unit, consisting of a 108-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel camera sensors. Selfies and video chats will be handled by a 32-megapixel front camera. Infinix will be geared with a 5,000mAh battery on the Infinix GT 10 Pro with support for 45W fast charging support. It will also include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
