Users can also opt for the annual plan priced at Rs 1,234, providing a remarkable 168GB of data (0.5 GB per day).
Reliance Jio Chairman, Akash Ambani, emphasized the necessity of such a device, stating, “There are still 250 million mobile phone users in India who remain ‘trapped’ in the 2G era, unable to access basic internet features while the world stands on the verge of a 5G revolution. Unboxing the Jio Bharat device reveals a compact design featuring a vibrant 1.77-inch QVGA TFT screen. The device is equipped with a removable 1000mAh battery for added convenience. It is important to note that the device is locked to Jio SIM cards, requiring the insertion of a Jio SIM to unleash its full potential.
Upon powering on, users will discover three pre-installed Jio apps accessible from the device’s menu. The first app, JioCinema, offers an extensive collection of non-stop entertainment, including the latest web series, blockbuster movies, HBO Originals, sports content, and TV shows. Next, JioSaavn, India’s leading free music app, provides access to an exclusive and vast music library.
