The Taiwanese company’s series of smartphones, including the Asus Zenfone 10, will continue. After a report indicated that it was closing the Zenfone business, the company has dispelled the rumours surrounding the Zenfone product line. The business also refuted the rumour that the Asus Zenfone 11 wouldn’t be released the following year. Instead, the smartphone manufacturer announced that the ROG Phone and Zenfone lineups will keep growing. The most recent device in the Zenfone line, the Asus Zenfone 10, was unveiled in June.
In response to a Technews Taiwan article asserting that the Zenfone 10 would be the final model in the line, Asus has formally announced that the follow-up model will be released in 2024. The company issued the following official statement: “We would like to address the rumour that the Asus Zenfone 10 will be the series’ final iteration and that the Asus Zenfone product line will be discontinued. That is untrue. The business has made it clear that production of the Asus Zenfone and ROG Phone has not been stopped.
According to the Technews Taiwan article, Asus was restructuring internally, and as a result, the Zenfone division was being shut down. It was stated that the Zenfone 10 would be the series’ final iteration. The correction from Asus has, however, debunked the assertions made in the article, directing readers to its Q2 earnings conference for more details, and urging them to pay attention to the company’s 2024 product lineup.
The Zenfone 10 was introduced by Asus in June. A 5.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with HDR10+ compatibility and a refresh rate of 144Hz is featured on the smartphone. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC manufactured on a 4nm process, together with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The Zenfone 10 has two rear cameras for optics, one with a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX766 sensor and the other with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is also included. The phone comes with a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. It runs on Android 13 and the Asus ZenUI out of the box.
