The Facebook-owned application, WhatsApp, will introduce new features via updates each month. WhatsApp may introduce in-app announcements to alert users about new features.
In 2021, WhatsApp terms of services are also changing, and the upcoming feature is likely to be used to make that announcement.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp informs users about its new features and updates via an in-app announcement. The announcement will be done through an in-app banner. So, tapping this banner will lead the user to an external website for more details.
The report includes a screenshot of one in-app announcement regarding the new WhatsApp terms of service. These announcements will appear after WhatsApp will release its new term next year. These updates will include details on how WhatsApp processed your data and how businesses can use Facebook-hosted services and manage their WhatsApp chats.
The new terms will be rolling from February 8, 2021, and the user needs to tap on “Agree” to accept the new terms.
The number of features and updates WhatsApp has received over the years, and these in-app announcements will make the app more user-friendly. One such feature is WhatsApp Pay.
