The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that ticket sales for the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026<\/strong> will officially open today at 18:45 IST<\/strong> on the portal: https:\/\/tickets.cricketworldcup.com\/<\/a><\/strong>. In a landmark move to boost accessibility, the ICC has set entry-level pricing at historic lows<\/strong>, with tickets in India starting from \u20b9100 (approx. $1.11)<\/strong> and in Sri Lanka from LKR1000 (approx. $3.26)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 10th edition of the tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka<\/strong>, featuring matches across eight venues<\/strong> from 7 February to 8 March 2026<\/strong>. The highly anticipated opener will see Pakistan take on the Netherlands in Colombo<\/strong>, followed by West Indies vs Bangladesh in Kolkata<\/strong>, culminating in a marquee clash between India and the USA in Mumbai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of Phase I, the ICC has significantly reduced the entry barrier for fans by releasing over 2 million tickets<\/strong>, aiming to \u201cdemocratize the in-stadia experience\u201d for cricket enthusiasts globally.<\/p>\n

ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta<\/strong> said the organisation\u2019s vision is to deliver the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged<\/strong>.
\u201cWith tickets starting from just \u20b9100 and LKR1000, we are putting affordability at the centre of our strategy,\u201d he noted, adding that the 2026 edition\u2014featuring 20 teams and 55 matches<\/strong>\u2014will be the most ambitious and inclusive in T20 World Cup history.<\/p>\n

BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia<\/strong> praised the initiative, saying that affordable pricing will multiply excitement across the country. He emphasised India\u2019s commitment to providing a world-class match-day experience<\/strong> with modern facilities and seamless logistics.<\/p>\n

Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva<\/strong> encouraged fans to secure their seats early and highlighted Sri Lanka\u2019s pride in co-hosting the global event, promising a vibrant, unforgettable cricketing atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be played across prominent venues including:
Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Singhalese Sports Club Ground (Colombo),<\/strong> and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).<\/strong><\/p>\n

With 20 teams and a packed schedule of 55 matches, fans can expect a month-long festival of electrifying cricket across India and Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
