The total prize pool for the women\u2019s event has been set at US$7.96 million, a staggering 225% increase from the previous edition in 2023, reflecting the ICC\u2019s commitment to advancing the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>The champions of the 2024 tournament, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will take home $2.34 million, while the runners-up will receive $1.17 million\u2014both seeing a 134% rise from the previous edition. Semi-finalists will also benefit, with each losing team receiving $675,000.<\/p>\n<p>This move aligns with the ICC\u2019s strategy to prioritize women\u2019s cricket, accelerating its growth ahead of its initial 2030 target. In addition to prize equity, teams will now receive the same amount of money for match wins as their male counterparts, with $31,154 awarded for each group stage victory.<\/p>\n<p>The ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup 2024 will feature ten teams competing in 23 matches across Dubai and Sharjah, beginning on October 3.
