The KKR finisher was named as a reserve player in India\u2019s 15-member squad for the marquee event.<\/p>\n<p>Kaneria argues that the combination of Rinku and Shivam Dube would have been a formidable force for India\u2019s lower-order batting. He pointed out Hardik\u2019s inconsistency in the ongoing IPL 2024 as a reason for his exclusion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as Rinku Singh is concerned, I also feel that he should have been a part of India\u2019s T20 World Cup squad. If I take the ongoing IPL\u2019s performances into consideration, then Hardik Pandya should have been the one to miss out. He hasn\u2019t showed any consistency at all,\u201d Kaneria told Times Now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou already have Shivam Dube who has been doing well for CSK. Overall, the squad looks good, but Rinku and Dube would have been a powerful combination for India down the order,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>A BCCI source, however, attributed Rinku\u2019s exclusion to the Impact Player Rule, suggesting that Hardik\u2019s all-round capabilities outweighed his poor form. \u201cNo doubt, Rinku paid the price for the Impact Player Rule. He is plain and simple unlucky.
