In a recent update from the Mumbai Ranji team<\/a>, skipper Ajinkya Rahane<\/a> confirmed that opener Prithvi Shaw<\/a> has fully recovered from a finger injury that sidelined him during the quarterfinal match. The injury had forced Shaw<\/a> to bat in the middle-order, a departure from his usual position at the top of the batting lineup.<\/p>\n

Explaining the change in Shaw\u2019s batting position, Rahane mentioned, \u201cHis finger was hurt, that\u2019s why he came down the order. We wanted him to go before Musheer (Khan). But obviously, because of the injection\u2019s effect, he had to go after him.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Rahane expressed confidence in Shaw\u2019s capabilities, especially given his impressive performance in the tournament so far. Shaw has amassed 389 runs from four matches at an impressive average of 64.83. Rahane praised Shaw\u2019s aggressive batting style, stating, \u201cPrithvi is really aggressive and he gets those runs very quickly. As a batsman, I don\u2019t think he (has) changed much. He\u2019s hungry to score runs. That\u2019s what we want from Prithvi. We don\u2019t want him to change his game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to the upcoming match against Tamil Nadu, Rahane emphasized the importance of Shaw finding his rhythm and playing his natural game. He expressed the team\u2019s desire for Shaw to continue his aggressive approach and contribute significantly to Mumbai\u2019s batting lineup.<\/p>\n
