Brown has been particularly impressed with cornerback Isaiah Rodgers. Brown couldn\u2019t help but gush over his new teammate\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor a guy who hasn\u2019t played football in a year, he\u2019s looking like he\u2019s been on the field nonstop,\u201d Brown said of Rodgers, according to ESPN. \u201cHe\u2019s flying around out there, and he\u2019s going to do some special stuff for us this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Rodgers\u2019 Journey Back<\/h3>\n<p>Rodgers, originally drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 out of UMass, spent three seasons with the team before being suspended for the entire 2023 season due to violations of the NFL\u2019s gambling policies. The Colts quickly parted ways with him, but the Eagles saw potential and signed him in August 2023, knowing he\u2019d be benched for the year.<\/p>\n<p>Now heading into 2024, Rodgers is vying for a starting spot in the Eagles\u2019 secondary alongside Kelee Ringo and rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Beyond his cornerback duties, Rodgers could also make an impact in the return game.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles fans will have to wait until training camp kicks off in full to see Rodgers in action, but early signs suggest that Philadelphia\u2019s secondary could see significant improvement from last year\u2019s lackluster performance.
