Dubai, Dec 7 : The pinnacle of international cricket just got a vibrant makeover as the ICC T20 World Cup\u2019s new brand identity was launched on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The makeover captures the inherent drama in every ball bowled in T20 cricket, renowned for its fast-paced action and high-octane moments. The new visual identity captures the format\u2019s relentless energy.<\/p>\n
The brand identity incorporates textures and patterns inspired by the host country for each World Cup edition, including a distinctive pattern paying homage to both the palm trees of the West Indies and the \u2018stripes\u2019 of the USA \u2013 the hosts of the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2024<\/p>\n
The logo, a creative fusion of bat, ball, and energy, symbolises the core elements of T20I cricket.<\/p>\n
The T20 lettering dynamically transforms into a swinging bat, encapsulated within a dynamic ball, an ICC media release said.<\/p>\n
The strike graphic within the ball mirrors the unique atmosphere and electric energy experienced in T20Is, with the zig-zag pattern alluding to rising excitement and heart-pounding moments.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ICC Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s T20 World Cups promise to deliver an electrifying and edge-of-your-seat experience to cricket fans globally, and we hope the new visual identity reflects that vision and energy,\u201d said Claire Furlong, the ICC General Manager \u2013 Marketing and Communications.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe incorporation of the distinctive patterns in the brand will provide hosts with a unique element across the event\u2019s look and feel,\u201d Furlong said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have an exciting six months ahead of us building up to the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA, and fans can now register their interest to receive World Cup information and ticket news,\u201d Furlong added.<\/p>\n
