Former Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has chosen the location at Wankhede Stadium where his statue will be installed in the coming months by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The Indian Express previously reported on the MCA\u2019s plans to erect a Tendulkar statue within the stadium grounds.<\/p>\n

Tendulkar was invited by MCA president Amol Kale on Tuesday morning to choose the location for his statue. He chose a spot directly across from the MCA lounge.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasant surprise\u2026we are yet to find a spot,\u201d Sachin Tendulkar on being honored with life-size statue<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier today, Sachin expressed his feelings on being honored with such \u201csurprise\u201d \u2013<\/p>\n

\u201cWell it\u2019s a pleasant surprise. The president is here, Mr. Kale and the other committee members are going to join us in a while. We\u2019ve come here to identify a spot. The idea was shared with me, and as I said it is a pleasant surprise.
