For the third Test against India, Cameron Green has deemed himself fit. Due to a finger injury, the all-rounder missed the first two Test matches.<\/p>\n
Despite the fact that he was practising in Delhi before the second Test, Australia had decided against delaying his return. Green\u00a0is a huge boost for the visitors, who are trailing the series 0-2 at this point. He gives Australia more options when selecting their starting eleven because he can bat right-handed in the middle of the order and can also bowl reasonably well.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was just a few instances in the nets where I\u2019d maybe go for a sweep and just jar the end of my bat. We just thought we\u2019d sacrifice a game and with the year ahead we\u2019ve got, it was probably the right call. It\u2019s been really sweet the last two weeks, I\u2019ve got a lot of confidence in it,\u201d Green said.<\/p>\n Pat Cummins was the only pacer Australia had going into the second Test; however, with Cummins out for the third Test and Mitchell Starc still working towards a full recovery from an injury, Green\u2019s presence gives the team a positive option in addition to what he\u2019s been planning with the bat.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the back of my mind after the game at the MCG, I was looking forward to having a couple of weeks at home just to refresh and then get back into basically sweeping a lot, getting back into my subcontinent skills.
