When India came on to bat on day 2 of 2nd test, the meltdown of India\u2019s opening pair came into the hands of Nathon Lyon as he took out captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in the early hours of day two. KL Rahul had survived two DRS appeals by Australia earlier, was trapped leg-before as Lyon tossed one from round the wicket and got it to deviate enough and find his pads. With a bad run of form, KL Rahul\u2019s presence in the starting 11 is now under a severe question mark.<\/p>\n
Nathan Lyon systematically continued taking down India\u2019s top-order batters, taking out Rohit Sharma for just 32 runs. First, Rohit got bowled as the ball passed between the pads and the bat before knocking the stumps. Then, in a back-back success for the Aussies, Nathon Lyon took out Pujara for a duck as he got trapped LBW. At first, the Umpire disagreed, but Cummins opted for a review, and the decision of the third empire went in favor of the Aussies.<\/p>\n
A fourth wicket for Lyon came at the expense of Shreyas Iyer, who plays it with soft hands, but an alert Peter Handscomb at short leg managed to hold onto the ball. Until lunch, India got some air to breathe as both Virat Kohli and Jadeja added 21 more runs for India. India\u2019s tally stood at 88\/4.<\/p>\n
