India defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 in the three-match T20I series thanks to Suryakumar Yadav\u2019s third T20I century, which enabled them to win the third and final match in Rajkot by 91 runs. India chose to bat first and amassed 228\/5 on the board thanks in large part to Suryakumar\u2019s 45-ball century, which later caused Sri Lanka to falter under the weight of run pressure. The visitors\u2019 attempt to win their first series in India was unsuccessful as they were dismissed for 137 runs inside of 17 overs.<\/p>\n
After the series loss against the hosts in the limited format, both the teams will be aiming for their critical ODI series and the first one of the year.<\/p>\n
As both the nations will be putting more importance for the 50-over format, considering that the ICC World Cup (50 overs) will take place in October, Sri Lanka\u2019s captain Shanaka said that he will be preparing himself to bowl again.<\/p>\n
Despite recovering from finger injury, which restricted Shanaka to bowl in the T20Is, the captain has assured that he will be bowling in the ODIs.<\/p>\n
Shanaka bowled only one over in total in the entire 3 match series and was successful in bagging 2 wickets by conceding only 4 runs.<\/p>\n
