In the ongoing T20 series between India and Sri Lanka, Gill made his debut in the 1st T20 at the Wankhede Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>However, Gill\u2019s poor shot selection proved costly for India as it resulted in an early wicket and a poor start in the T20I format for the debutant. Gill was unfortunate to depart early on his debut, and fans had hoped for a strong partnership with Ishan Kishan.<\/p>\n<p>Umpire Anil Kumar Chaudhary made a wise decision after Shubman Gill misjudged the length of Theekshana\u2019s second delivery, went back to pull, missed, and was struck in the back thigh. The delivery skidded on like a flipper from a leggie.
