Following a car accident while filming for the BBC television programme \u201cTop Gear,\u201d former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff was taken to the hospital. On Monday, December 12, at Surrey\u2019s Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, the 45-year-old was injured while filming with a crew.<\/p>\n
\u201cFreddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning \u2013 with crew medics attending the scene immediately,\u201d the BBC said in a statement. \u201cHe has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to a report in The Sun, Flintoff wasn\u2019t driving at a high speed while on the track, and his injuries are not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the usual health and safety measures were in place for filming too,\u201d a source was quoted telling The Sun. \u201cFreddie was taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards. Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering.\u201d<\/p>\n
