The opening ODI was an exciting match, but by the end, the hosts\u00a0had control of the game. The poor error made by Bangladesh\u2019s middle and top order was made up for by Shakib Al Hasan\u2019s five-fer and Mehidy Hasan\u2019s crucial innings.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s easy to view the opening match as an unexpected result. Despite the fact that India is ranked fourth and Bangladesh is ranked seventh, the visitors have a history of dominating in this format; in fact, they have won 30 of the 37 one-day internationals (ODI) that have been played between the two teams.<\/p>\n
Since October 2016, the hosts have not suffered a home loss in an ODI series. In the interim, they have easily defeated teams like Zimbabwe, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, and they have appeared more at ease in a format they enjoy playing.<\/p>\n
