Muzarabani Banned by PCB After PSL Withdrawal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blessing Muzarabani has been handed a two-year ban from the Pakistan Super League after withdrawing from a confirmed deal with Islamabad United ahead of PSL 2026 to join Kolkata Knight Riders, where he was signed as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Cricket Board said the fast bowler had agreed to key terms before pulling out, calling it a clear breach. In its statement, the PCB said the player chose to ignore his obligations in favour of another contract, leading to disciplinary action. The decision means Muzarabani will not be eligible to take part in the league for the next two seasons.<\/p>\n

Strong IPL Start Amid Off-Field Issue<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the field, Muzarabani has made an immediate impact in IPL 2026. He has taken four wickets in his first two matches, including best figures of 4 for 41 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.<\/p>\n

His rise has been gradual. He previously worked as a net bowler with Lucknow Super Giants and was picked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru as an injury replacement in 2025.<\/p>\n

Now part of KKR\u2019s pace unit, he offers height, bounce and control at key stages. But while his performances are gaining attention, the ban will remain a talking point.<\/p>\n
