The International Cricket Council has announced a record prize pool of $8,764,615 for the 2026 Women\u2019s T20 World Cup, a 10 per cent increase from the previous edition. The move continues the governing body\u2019s push to raise the financial stakes in the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n
While the overall fund has gone up, the rewards at the top remain unchanged. The winners will again receive $2,340,000, with the runners-up set to earn $1,170,000. Losing semi-finalists will take home $675,000 each.<\/p>\n
There is also a fixed incentive for performance in the group stage, with every win worth $31,154. All 12 teams are guaranteed a minimum payout of $247,500, ensuring a base reward regardless of results.<\/p>\n
The 2026 edition will be held across England and Wales from June 12 to July 5. The tournament expands to 12 teams, up from 10, with a total of 33 matches scheduled across seven venues.<\/p>\n
Among the confirmed teams are India women\u2019s team, Pakistan women\u2019s team, Australia women\u2019s team, England women\u2019s team, along with sides like South Africa, New Zealand and West Indies. One additional team will qualify through the global pathway.<\/p>\n
